Prodigg
The two companies, Prodigg and Internethic, announced the signature of a partnership on April 4, 2007, aiming at developing a data-processing solution plug-and-play of VAD/VPC reference, resolutely turned towards top-of-the-range e-business.
In this project, Prodigg brings its experience on direct sales distribution, and Internethic its expertise in the development of the customized open source solutions, that is eZ publish 3.9 and Tiny ERP 4.3.
In July 2006, this young SSLL had already set up a solution inter-connecting the webshop eZ publish and version 3.3 of Tiny ERP, for Pokershop, leader in the sales of poker's articles on Internet in France.
The partnership has as an ambition to push even further the interconnexion between the two free software.
Partners involved
Originally, the project has included the need of Prodigg, innovative actor of the distribution, to optimize its selling processes. Prodigg Group is a company, possessing a role of a specialist in distribution of buildings within an international dimension. The company is located in Toulouse and bases its supply on actions of outsourcing in several regions of the world. The concept of direct sales, developed by Prodigg, is linked with the universe of the bathroom and renewable energy.
Within the framework of the launching of its remote sales volume, Prodigg was searching for an integrated and powerful data-processing solution capable to manage all its processes of direct sales into a multi channel in an inter-connected way. This was also useful for the B2B B2C markets: management of the files and the client relationship, surveying and development of the consumer loyalty, optimized logistics of the organization, automatization and follow-up of purchases, assistance with the sales processes, invoice estimates, strategic analysis of the data on activities, accounting and financial management.
"Our first choice was the Open Source, because the explosive growth of our activities and the innovative functionalities that we wish to set up, required an extreme flexibility and a perfect control of our applications", explains Samuel Paccoud, Director of the Operations of Prodigg.
"Our partnership with the SSLL Internethic enabled us to consider the development of a connection between two mature open source solutions, eZ publish and Tiny ERP, both being leaders on their segments, rather than to put our money in licences".
Objectives of the eZ publish - Tiny ERP architecture
Beyond a simple CMS, eZ publish is true applicative Framework, which allows the implementation of complex projects. Its structure and powerful modules of content oriented object, enable it to manage the problems of most difficult content management. Tiny ERP is a highly modular and easily customized solution of ressource management because it is developed in Python language.
Internethic, a partner of eZ systems and official contributor of the eZ publish solution since 2002, for its part, brings great experience on the problems specific to the on-line sales on a very strong market growth. In July 2006, this young SSLL had already set up a solution inter-connecting the webshop eZ publish and version 3.3 of Tiny ERP, for Pokershop, leader in France in the sale of poker's articles on Internet (PokerShop). Thanks to this entirely Open Source solution, the PokerShop company could be faced with the brutal and exponential growth of its activity in 2006, while maintaining the level of quality of its logistic and commercial services, in spite of the limited human resources in the company.
It is thus natural that the meeting of Internethic and Prodigg led to a partnership, having for an ambition to push forward before the integration of eZ publish and Tiny ERP.
