The regional union of the firemen of Southern Mediterranean (L'Union Régionale des Sapeurs Pompiers Sud Méditerranée) has contacted Internethic for the creation of its Internet gateway, developed under the open source solution, eZ publish. This has an objective to improve the knowledge of firemens job and increase its visibility for the public.

Implemented competences

The regional union is an association which groups the Departmental Unions. It has an objective to promote the role of the firemen in the framework of civil security, as well as their image for the public. Composed of 13 departments and 23 000 firemen, it represents a big force of nominations by the National Federation of the Firemen of France.

Internethic has created a site ready for employment for this association, consisting of the principal functions of a dynamic site: on-line management of the Internet sites, images, contact blank forms...

We can also quote: the realisation of the graphic chart of the website and the creation of the e-business store.

Finally, the creation of the page models permits all the departmental unions to personnalize its own section.

The site has been developed with the CMS eZpublish. It supports the XHTML Transitional standards, is compatible with the Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, et Safari browsers, under Windows, Macintosh, or Linux.

Internethic has also generated the natural referencing on the site, especially in the level of choosing the domain name but also of the choise external and internal optimization of the links.

In order to render a totally autonomous URSPSM, the S.S.L.L Internethic has given eZ publish training for the responsables of the site (the user management, roles and rights, sections...). The trained person will thus consequently add new users, open new titles: sections and consign the the concerned members of the management commission and update the Internet site with its joint functions (sections, commissions, recent events...).
